9 Facts About Evangelion

The birth event of the NGE series (Neon Genesis Evangelion) is one of the greatest milestones of the anime. NGE was formed and born with the combination of science fiction, psychology and religion. The film is considered holy for anime fans to love. This is a revolution for a kind of film, the film faithfully depicts the relationship between humans and computers.Evangelion is a puzzle everybody has to solve by themselves. What Is NERV?

NERV is a special organisation, commanded by Gendo Ikari and designed to defend humanity against the angels. Although NERV is financed by the UN, NERV is largely independent from the United Nations except for the financing above. NERV originated from a secret agency called GEHIRN, which became NERV in 2010 following the move of NERV and the Japanese Municipal Government to its new HQ in Tokyo-03 after the finishing of MAGI supercomputers.

What Are The Seeds Of Life?

A race of smart aliens had to deal with the fact that their race had ended somewhere on the Milky Way (approximately 4.6 billion years ago). As such, they did whatever any prospective hyper intelligent race might do, they created giant beings (the seeds of life) to harbor their souls and ship them safe throughout the galaxy, in order to make sure that similar forms of life once more live in their galaxy. They created seven grains which contained the fruit of life’s knowledge. Seven seeds would ideally land and build new life on different planets. Unfortunately, Lilith, a seed carrying the fruit of knowledge, crashed on a planet that already was inhabited by Adam, for the first ancestral and human race (a seed carrying the fruit of life).

Evas Are Based On Japanese Monsters Called Oni

Oni is some kind of troll and ogre monster in Japanese folklore. The creatures, typically large and horny, are red, blue and green, with clubs usually on them. Hideaki Anno, director of the series, was inspired by their influence on culture to build on it.

Evas is more biological than mechanical despite being part of the genre mecha. Anno said to the Aerial Magazine, “I wanted to give the feeling that under this ‘robot monster’ picture there’s not so much a robot, but a giant human being.

What’s Rei’s Deal?

While in the whole of Evangelion, there are many really deprived, lonely and troubled people, Rei Ayanami takes the cake to get troubled for whatever reason. The apathic young girl appears to be almost unable to form human ties with anyone except Gendo Ikari and to care about anything but the missions he gives her. This is because Rei was created by an LCL combination, when Yui Ikari was absorbed into EVA Unit-01 and Lilith’s soul piece. She may not be entirely human, but, at least for Gendo Ikari, she certainly has a certain appeal.

Not Just Any Human Can Pilot An Eva

Young characters often form the anchor of mecha stories from the Gundam franchise. Typically, the argument is so that the audience gets to know about their travels. A similar premise, but with a narrow, unusual focus, is presented in Evangelion.

All of the Evangelion pilots are mothers who have died and were born following Second Impact, a cataclysmic event 15 years before the history began. It is not until later in the anime that the soul of the mothers is shown to be integrated into the Evas which allows for psychic connection with the pilots.

There Is Another Way To Pilot An Eva

The stringent conditions for being an Eva pilot certainly make the existing ones important for humanity and NERV, the organization responsible for creating the Evas. However, Evas is finally fitted with something called the Dummy System in the anime and rebuild movies.

It consists of a stupid entrance plug that emulates pilot ideas. A remarkable use of Asuka Unit-03 before an Angel is owned in Evangelion 2.o (2009). The NERV activates the dummy system, so that it forces Eva into it, in Unit-01 Shinji refuses to attack Unit-03.

What Is The Human Instrumentality Project?

The third and therefore human instrumentality. The third impact. Simply put, SEELE’s plan for creating a new world and a new god is a human instrumentality project. By combining the fruit of life with the fruit of knowledge, SEELE is hoping, in a state in which there is no individuality, ego and nothing, to revert humanity to its former state. EVAs Are Grown From Samples Of Adam

While it might initially look like EVAs and Angels are totally opposites, locked in a struggle for the destiny of the world, they have much in common. Angels can come in a few freaky and complicated forms designed exclusively to cause ever greater damage and EVAs may look like gigantic lanky human armor covered, but in fact they come from the same source, Adam. Adam was taken by NERV to study as the progenitor of the angels after his discovery. And a lot, a lot more. NERV could eventually produce artificial humanoid artificial angels piloted by humans. Or EVA or Evangelion, otherwise called.
